Print communications for a nuclear institution

The challenge

The AFCN communicates on technical subjects related to nuclear safety, to industry professionals and the general public alike. This content is complex by nature and engages the institution's credibility. The editorial challenge was to make this information legible without diluting its rigour, while supporting a message of safety and trust.

Our approach

Simpl. designed each medium to turn technical content into clear, accessible messages, consistent with the AFCN's safety stakes. The approach relies on a structured visual hierarchy, an airy layout and authentic visuals. The collaboration spanned seven years, from 2015 to 2022, and covered advertisements, newsletters, exhibition and seminar materials, social media assets, a corporate brochure and the annual report.

For the annual report, the content was structured to make complex data legible. The document runs to 64 pages and was produced in three language versions: French, Dutch and English. It draws on 100 bespoke infographics that highlight the agency's missions, results and activities. It was printed in 1,000 copies.

The corporate brochure makes technical content accessible while remaining faithful to the institution's identity and values. Its airy layout and structured visual hierarchy make it a communication tool addressed to industry professionals and the general public alike.

The result

Over seven years of collaboration, Simpl. produced around fifty print materials for the AFCN, spanning institutional communication, advertisements, newsletters, exhibition and seminar materials and social media assets. The annual report, the centrepiece of the system, runs to 64 pages in three languages, includes 100 bespoke infographics and was printed in 1,000 copies.
